Northwest Indiana Irrigation
Irrigation Systems
A healthy landscape depends on one thing above all else: providing the right amount of water in the right place at the right time! However, keeping your lawn, trees, flower beds, and gardens properly hydrated is much easier said than done. Dragging hoses across the yard, remembering watering schedules, and guessing whether your grass got enough water all add up to a task that never seems to end. A professionally installed irrigation system removes that burden, delivering consistent, efficient watering that will help your property thrive through every season, whether you’re at home or away.
A Team for All Your Landscaping Needs
For over 20 years, Cutting Edge Landscaping has been making yards in Northwest Indiana beautiful. We are a full-service landscaping and lawn care company that brings creativity, quality workmanship, and a genuine passion to every project. From design and installation to repairs and seasonal service, our experienced team looks at the big picture, building systems that keep your landscape beautiful while conserving water and resources for the future.
Who We Serve
From installing small residential systems to servicing commercial properties, our team can help:
- Property owners looking for an automated watering system for their landscape
- Homeowners battling uneven water coverage across their lawn
- Owners of struggling irrigation systems
- Property owners concerned about wasted water from manual watering or faulty existing irrigation
- Property owners who need help starting or closing their irrigation systems
No matter the scope of your landscape’s needs, we can meet them with our comprehensive irrigation services.
Keeping Your Yard Thriving With Our Irrigation Services
A great irrigation system does more than turn on and off on its own. It’s carefully planned around your property and then cared for through every season. Here’s how we help:
- System design and installation: We survey your yard, factoring in sun exposure, soil, and plant needs before installing each zone for optimal water coverage to cut back on runoff.
- Repairs and troubleshooting: From broken or misdirected sprinkler heads to leaking lines, weak pressure, and controller glitches, we get your system watering as intended again.
- Efficiency adjustments: We fine-tune coverage and scheduling so that you water the landscape, not the pavement, saving water and protecting your soil.
- Fall winterization: Before the cold sets in, we clear your lines to prevent costly freeze damage.
- Spring start-up: When warmer weather returns, we restart your system, inspect it for leaks, adjust the heads, and program it for the season ahead.
Starting with a walk-through of your property enables us to understand your goals and then build a personalized plan around your budget and schedule. From there, our team handles the installation. We work with industry-leading Hunter products, chosen for their eco-friendly performance, reliability, and long-term value. Once everything is installed and working perfectly, we’re here to answer any questions and fix any issues that may come up later, staying with you through every seasonal transition.

FAQs About Our Irrigation Services in Indiana
Can an irrigation system be installed on a property with mature landscaping?
Yes. Our team has experience in working around established trees, garden beds, and hardscapes. We can design a system that integrates seamlessly into your landscape, providing hydration without disturbing your favorite features.
What is “winterization” and why is it necessary for my system?
Winterization is the crucial process of removing all water from your irrigation pipes before the first freeze. This service is essential in Northwest Indiana to prevent pipes from freezing, cracking, and even bursting, which could lead to costly damage.
What’s involved in your spring start-up service?
When warmer weather returns, our spring start-up service helps prepare your system for the seasons ahead. We will slowly turn the water back on, check for any potential leaks or damage that occurred over the winter, adjust sprinkler heads, and reprogram your controller for optimal performance if necessary.
Can an automated irrigation system save me money in the long run?
By helping to prevent water waste and ensuring the health and longevity of your lawn, plants, and trees, an efficient irrigation system is a smart investment. It can save you money on water bills and protect your landscape from damage that can come from under- or over-watering.
